Baptismal Font

Part of an extended series, finding and posting photos from an old photoblog I thought I had lost. Comments are much appreciated.

Paul Granlund's baptismal font in the entryway of Christ Chapel. This is one of four sculptures which are mounted on each face of the font. He designed the left hand to have water dripping from it into the basin below. One of my favorite things to do is to sit in the pews late at night and listen to the water drip and echo through the chapel.

Gustavus Photo Contest
For the Gustavus folk, just an FYI that voting for the Campus Photo Contest is going on today through Friday in Linner Lounge. This was a contest that started last fall with submissions from students, faculty, staff, and people from the St. Peter area. There isn't a specified time, but it should be open pretty much all day. The photos are on the left wall as you walk in, and there should be ballots sitting out. Come support your fellow Gustie photographers, and spread the word!

* I really enjoy the colors here but it is really the colors combned with the textures and forms that make this image rock.

* I like the way you captured the ripples from the drop hitting the water.
