Flower, Night Bloom

Posted by Justin Haaheim (New Haven, CT, United States) on 25 March 2007 in Plants & Nature and Portfolio.

A plant at my friends house that remains flowerless for all but one night of the year. During that one night, supposedly, a single flower blooms and remains open until the morning, when it closes and dies. My friend and I only caught this one night when it blooms because he noticed the perfume the flower lets off just before he headed to bed.
